So are they going to make fun of shows and commercials instead of videos? There aren't that many new videos these days.

They're going to still do music videos but they're also throwing in Jersey Shore, UFC fights, and popular YouTube videos.

Is the new Beavis and Butthead being done by Mike Judge?

Yes he's doing the writing, animations, and voices just like he did the first go around. I've heard Beavis' voice has been "toned down" because it killed him the first go around so this time he's going a little easier on it and that's why it sounded a little different.

I'm scared to death that my own expectations might ruin this for me, but I like what I see here. I laughed when Beavis said "DTF" when they were watching Jersey Shore.

Pretty funny! They make fun of music videos and tv shows.

I laughed a lot. It's pretty much the same old Beavis & Butthead, but with more up to date pop culture references. I wasn't surprised to see that the first thing they skewered was the Twilight series.

NP and I saw a rebroadcast last night. We tried watching it at tape delay and fast forwarding through the commercials (we were also watching Demarco and NOBODY ELSE FROM DALLAS play well), but it's kind of difficult when they splice MTV crap in during the show for the two guys to comment on :)

The show was awesome. Highly recommend.

In the midst of the C-USA sleepy third quarter Tulsa-UCF matchup and the Florida State blowout, NP and I did a tape delay of the newest episode.

The first segment showed the return of the aged Hank Hill character (they totally should reveal that the old dude is Hank Hill in the future, or Hank's real dad, hehe). However, didn't really like it besides that aspect.

The second segment was greatness. In a nutshell, they walk into a call center and are told to start working because there are so many people on hold, so they start talking to irate helpless callers seeking tech support :D

There was only one music video. It was that Firework song. Beavis gets kicked in the balls for telling Butt-head that wasn't a firework :D

There were a few other segments too... I only remember 16 and Pregnant. That show looks very dumb :P

These first episodes have been great so far. Just think about it, Mike Judge now has reality TV to work with now and about 15 years of music videos. The show could be more successful now, than it was back in the 90's.

No kidding. Back then it made fun of the trash on TV which was mostly on MTV. Now it's everywhere and there are about 15 MTV channels to work with. This was a very good decision.

"so who is he telling to call 911? why can't he just do it himself?"
"Besides, what's the call gonna be like? "Uhh yeah, I just told my daughter that she can't go see smurfs, and she's like ripping apart space and time" I got a bunch of laughs... thank God something worth a **** is on MTV.

isn't Beavis the firework?

the thing that worries me about this show is that it's shady advertising for those crappy shows... they don't seem to be pulling many punches though
