My bet is that he decides OU is too deep at WR next season and re-opens the recruiting process.

Maybe. Or maybe he decides that a university that is willing to work with him on admissions is the sort of place he'd really like to attend.

Is Ronnell there with him?

Ronnell is first on the depth chart, if that means anything.

if he can't handle competition, then he won't be a competitor on the field, a WR like him would thrive in our system his loss

Or he may decide to go to a school that produces Heisman quality quarterbacks that can accurately deliver the ball into his hands.

It's just my prediction, certainly not my desire and I'm not claiming Metoyer is not a competitor. I'm sure he is, and if he is a good as advertised, he would thrive in many systems.

That is good news on Metoyer that he is loyal to OU and will enroll in January which will give him spring practice.

It's basically like getting a redshirt year, just on someone else's campus.

does this count as his redshirt year, or would he still have 5 years to play 4 at OU?

Sort of a 2nd senior year of HS, I guess. It does count as 1 of the 3 years post-highschool in terms of the NFL draft. When Larry Fitzgerald was drafted after his true sophomore at Pitt, it was allowed because he had done 1 year of prep school. Not that I think Metoyer will be another Fitzgerald, but who knows.

I think he'll be back with 4 years elegibility. Broyles will graduate and he can step right in opposite Stills.

Apparently his high school did not count some of his juco credit which forced him to Hargrave. He said, "I'll be at Oklahoma in January."

I'm not sure why his HS is refusing the credits but I wouldn't be surprised if they were all * fans. Anyone from that area?
