Should something be named in honor of Bud Wilikinson? Other than the dorms on Jenkins, that is all that there is, as far as I know. Shouldn't something be installed as a testament to that great man that roamed the sidelines?

I think he deserves more.

YES. Of course. It is something that is years (Decades) overdue.

Most definitely!

We also need more for our father of sports...Bennie Owen.

I move to strike down Gaylord Family Memorial Stadium and it now be known as Bud Wilkinson Memorial Stadium at Owen Field

Yeah I know...but I don't think donors should have the right to get their names on something that they didnt earn....Bud Wilkinson built that house!

I agree completely. One of the greatest winners and finest men in the history of sports. Bama has Bear's name on their stadium, Texas has DKR.

Are they renaming the new athletic dorms after him as well? I know they started their OU coaches statues last year. I don't even remember who the one they put up was. Owen I think. I think it's the four 100 game winners.

Who is Jenkins Ave named after? Get the city of Norman to rename it Bud Wilkinson Blvd.

There is a Bud Wilkinson Drive in Norman already.

Oops. Didn't know that. Then how about changing Owen field to Owen-Wilkinson field. Or name a quadrant of the stands after each one of our great coaches. Who wouldn't want to sit in section Wilkinson A? Just brainstorming here.

I like the Section re-naming idea.

I 2nd your motion and further move that you be the one who writes the Gaylord Family a 20MM check to reimburse them for the naming rights

I'm in for the statues of the 100-game winning coaches. Very appropriate.

Heisman winners could be used too. A cool "Ring of Honor" type thing.

How about opening up Coach's Park? Statues for the great OU coaches.
