Been watching an excellent concert on oeta. lead singer sounds awesome. i thought foreigner was out of style in the early 80s but still liked theie music. never bought a tape or cd but now it seems like every song is a classic. great stuff

I didn't like them in the day, but I saw them on a Palladia concert a few weeks back and they had it going on. Very impressed I was.

Saw them at Concho a few months ago and at the Zoo last year. One of the best concerts I've been too.

THe first time I heard Hot Blooded we were in the wrestling room at Tahlequah HS, whatever year that was. I have liked them ever since.

Tahlequah cable has a channel called HDNet that shows concerts all day and night on Sundays, Foreigner was on there not too long ago as well.

Also caught Merle Haggard from Billy Bob's, what a show.

I dunno if you think it derogatory to be called a Girly-Man, or equivalent. It seems I saw you call me that a few months back after I raved about seeing a great performance by Foreigner here in Phoenix, at a local Casino. Do they play manly music nowadays, or what? haha

You sure it wasn't a Journey concert you are talking about?

You sure it wasn't a Journey concert you are talking about?Quite! You wanted to compare Foreigner to Journey, though, in your admonishing manlier-than-thou thread. Are you losing your memory? haha

Do you not recall?...
"Dude, it's Foreigner for ****'s sake. That's damn near as bad as having Journey love. Chicks and fags like those bands."-Dean

To which I responded:
"I did not know that. Well, I guess it just took me a long time to "out" myself, huh? Thanks for your help. I will send you a kitten from the Humane Society for your next birthday...and a copy of Barbra Streisand's Greatest Hits."

I'm honored you care Rushy. Send me a Bawbwa dartboard and we'll call it good.

To be honest, I forgot that Foreigner actually had a lot of great songs until I watched the Palladia deal - because like most bands the only ones you hear are the ones they played 24/7 on the radio. I ****ing hate "Hot Blooded" - not because it's a bad song, but because i was worn out way back in the 80's. Also, Foreigner/Journey came out towards the tail end of my concert going days.

One thing I must say about the show I saw, those boys can still get after it, and a lot of their songs I like, I just wasn't aware that it was Foreigner since I had 86d the band 30-something years ago. I was pleasantly surprised. Kinda like I was when I saw a Palladia deal with Styx and some kid's orchestra.

All that being said, 80's hair bands are still chick bands.

I can't wait for the Journey/Foreigner/Night Ranger concert at the Zoo amp next month!

P.S. I'm a chick, though.

Styx is plenty good! I missed their concert here about a year ago, and still kick myself on that no-go.
