Is the most underappreciated cut of pork in my book. Goes great with red beans and rice.

Sliced and grilled pork steaks from the shoulder are pretty awesome for the price as well. People here in St. Louis throw them in crock pots with barbecue sauce and waste it, when they could have either grilled them or just used the whole shoulder in the slow cooker for a faux smoked butt.

I wouldn't say it's under-appreciated. Cuts like that from the hind legs, as well as the shoulders have some of the best flavor, they just tend to be tougher cuts because of all the muscle in those areas.

Concur. I grill them with a little "slap ya mama" on'm...**** is good.

I always have a ham steak around. Great in your beans. Allsome for breakfast.

I love pork steaks! My FIL likes to cook them up everynow and then, grilled with a little BBQ sauce...mmmm GOOD!

They're pretty fatty, but if you can cut around it, the meat itself is really great when done to a nice medium.
