in response to demond in '99. do we win it all in 2000 if Q has no experience playing in '99?

also, think of the '03 team with Q as a senior. do we beat ksu or lsu?

I still remember the epic 1997 OU/TX game. We came up three points short but Parker and Ricky waged an epic rushing war!! DP had about 2-3 long gains brought back by penalty that game or he easily eclipses 300 RUSHING YARDS!!!

Demond Parker without a doubt. The sprint draw was awesome. Demond was one of the only things to get excited about during that time.

Dude The BEAV was a Gary Gibbs player.

My Genius friends made T-Shirts that read "I LOVE big game BEAVERS" just knowing for sure they were going to be millionaires off that idea. They printed about $1000 worth. They sold ONE to Gary Englund before they were cited for selling merchandise at the game without a permit.

We wore them for every intramural sport after that.

I'll go off the board & take Ontei Jones. He played LB in '98 & had well over 100 tackles that year. Dude was all over the place.

There were Blake years? For some reason the 90-98 seasons have been erased from my memory.

Fletcher is a good one, but I liked watching Blake standing on the sidelines acting like he did not know what was going on, wait, never mind.

Did we play football during the Blake years? That's very questionable.

That said, I would go with Demond and Kelly.

This one is easy for myself... He is probably the most underrated back in OU history--->IMHO... in my mind he was like AD... You stood up on your tows in the stands just to get a glimpse of him getting the ball...Because you knew every time he touched the ball, he could take it all the way... De'Mond Parker... I still thank Mr Gibbs everyday... he was the reason my season tickets came available, and I was able to watch De'Mond in person...

I've seen a lot of great players already mentioned, so I'll go with Seth Littrell. He was a pretty decent recruit coming out of Muskogee, wasn't he? He knew OU sucked, and he still came. In '97 at Nebraksa, he was still running hard when we were suffering one of the worst OU losses in history. When I saw the look on Seth's face during the Orange Bowl coin flip just over three years later, I knew the Sooners were going to win.

I go along with Parker as well. I think Q would have been excellent in 2000 without 1999 pt.If you think about the high level he played at while discarding his redshirt in midseason,I think there is little reason to think he would be anything less than excellent with a redshirt year and 2000 spring and fall campsunder his belt. Look no further than Parker for an idea of what Q might have been as a reshirt frosh in 2000.

All 5 Sooner QBs that played in the first half of the 1997 KSU game. An NCAA record! Yes!!!

On a more serious note, definitely Parker. He removed a little pain the Nebraska game when he scored 3 touchdowns in about 3 minutes and Nebraska actually put their starters back in on defense. We wasn't the biggest guy, but he was insanely strong with great balance and moves and very good speed. He was one of the few bright spots in the Blake era. That and Allen's emotional TD against Texas to win that game in 1996.

Definitely Demond. What could have been for OU and him if he had only stayed for his senior year. A year of discipline under Stoops would have done wonders for him. And, we might have won 2 or 3 more games. Notre Dame, Texas Tech, and Ole Miss, and maybe Texas.

I liked Seth too. He had a lot of OU pride. So did Patrick Fletcher, but Seth was much cooler about it.
