So we have lost (and may still lose) the #8, #20, and #28 programs of all-time according to AP rank and are replacing them with the likes of: #43, #48, and #68.

Go Big 12! Bebee sucks....

amazing that KSU is #50 considering that they were the worst program of all time when Bill Snyder took over.

The list looks about right to me. Congrats. OU's certainly got the skins on the wall. And I always said UT was a top 10 team all time, not top 5.

And I've got to give props to this board as well for the creativity on the 5-7 thing. You guys seem able to mix that into any conversation.

Herr is back! Dammit son, we missed ya. And yes, you have written about UT being top 10 but not top 5 before - I 'member it.

But are you really giving us props on creativity. Hmmm. Must.not.mention.fiv...fiv...fiv. Whew!

Hey, Boulder. I've been mixing it up lately on here. I've had a few requests to fight and one wish that I get the death penalty so it's like olden times. Don't worry though, once we get our 4th loss, I'll disapear until next recruiting season. :mack:

Norman pre-flight is ranked 5 spots above Iowa State. I couldn't find East Popcorn State anywhere.

Spot on observation, Vegas. The pretty much sums up what Deloss and Bebee want to do to the conference.

But, but, but, - we can fly a banner!!!

Anyone else notice the significance of this?

One fascinating thing to note: all the club teams that played during World War II. Notice the rankings of the all-star teams like the Iowa Pre-flight juggernaut

With assistant coaches Jim Tatum and Charles Burnham "Bud" Wilkinson. In 1943, they went 9-1 under Don Faurot and finished 2nd in the AP. In 1944, they went 10-1 under Jack Meagher and finished 6th. Iowa pre-flight could be considered the direct ancestor to the OU juggernaut of the 1950s.
