Why would they be released after admitting guilt?

That has been a mess since day 1....

doesnt make sense.. the way i read it... the 2 being released will admit to the crime, then be released, one of which was on death row... how does that make sense???

It makes absolutely no sense. Maybe it's a mistake, or maybe the state of Arkansas is doing anything they can to try to save a little face in this deal.

i know about the whole thing... they were convicted and sentenced years ago... now they are being released after they admit to the crime... i don't care how you frame it, that doesn't make sense....

I've been interested in this case since I watched the first two Paradise Lost documentaries.

Maybe the reports are wrong. Maybe they're being released for juror misconduct. It would explain why Echols and Baldwin are being released since they were tried together, and not Miskelley who was tried separately.

I think a lot of the reports are messed up....I can find different reads all over the place...one says all three are getting released and have already been transferred out with all of the their belongings...

Don't count on the media to give fair and accurate reports...they are more concerned with being first with accuracy second...

We will know more tomorrow at the supposed hearing...

This article makes a lot more sense. Apparently they will plead to "lesser charges" and be released with time served. Arkansas is definitely trying to find a way out of this deal. If they let them walk and say they didn't do it, they've got a killer on the loose. If they do it this way, it ties it up in a nice bow for everyone.

Is this is the one where they had Satanism all over it? If so, 48 Hours or similar show did a story. Trumped up, dumb kids were badgered into confessions. Evidence doesn't seem to support guilt. The Sheriff concocted the devil worship stuff and a riled up jury convicted...
