Have you made any major purchases lately? I have not, but I am planning on getting a car in the fairly near future. Beyond that I have no plans on any major spending until next year, as it will be time for a new tv and computer then. Maybe a chair as well.

Smaller purchases, I have replaced all my pants, and most of my shirts this year. I got a tennis racket, and I am going to get some boots soon. Probably a new coat as aswell. But beyond that, I haven't been on a binge there either, and pretty much everything in this category was purchased at a discount.

We're taking a vacation soon, and that counts as a big purchase for us.

Went on vacation in June. Going to the FSU game next month. Bought a new car last year. Possibly buying wife a new car in the very near future. Thinking about retiring in the next 12 months.

Nope. Last major spending on one item was almost a year ago when my daughter was born. Since then major purchases have been off the table.

I was lucky and my salary wasn't impacted, but prices on everything went down. So honestly, SUPEr lucky. The recession actually helped me, personally.

my spending has slowed significantly...but that is 100% due to the drought...
have to stretch my cash until i see how much i get from my crop and from insurance...
as you know...grain prices have been good...so as long as i can raise a decent crop....there is no recession for me...

$10,000 worth of bank stocks a month ago. I'll sell them to you at a "pre-owned" discount price too if anybody wants em. ;)

Be sure to find one covered in Kudzu, I hear it really helps with energy costs!
