any hackers out there have some codes/tips for getting around it?

i yahooed soonerfans and got in under a bikerfox(yes!) thread but could not maneuver out of it.

Try typing the IP address directly into your browser bar, so instead of http://www.soonerfans.com, type http://66.34.250.71.

Is it the entire site? Or just specific threads?

On my work computer yesterday, it firewalled a thread on the SO under the category of Adult Material.

Unless you work from home over VPN (which I do on the weekends, so I setup a Virtual Machine that I VPN in on so that my entire network connection's not firewalled) there's not much you can do.
