Don't get too excited --- these are regional-based so they switched up the order for other areas:
http://media.al.com/sports_impact/photo/9899826-large.jpg

Looks like an all-red theme? :D

The other players are South Carolina's Alshon Jeffery, Nebraska's Jared Crick and Stanford's Andrew Luck.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! SI curse

It's only a regional curse, so not as powerful.

Last year: Texas (5-7!), Boise State (lost to Nevada, whoops), tOSU (lol Pryor) and Bammer (lost Heisman and SEC to rival Auburn)

2009: Poke State (yeaaaaah...) Oregon (punchie punchie duckie duckie), Penn State (don't remember, so they must have sucked), Ole Miss (Jevan Snead for the fail!)

2008: Florida (Tebow crying on national TV!), Mizzou (heh), Georgia (double heh), USC (pbbbbth) and tOSU (I don't remember)

2007: This was the "Year of the Running Back" series that had our own Allen Patrick (we won the Big 12!), some Michigan guy (lol Michigan), Arkansas' Run DMc (I think they lost the SEC title game that year???) and USC stable (including Moody, who transferred to Florida right after the cover shoot, hehe)

I wouldn't say those are curses...bad things happen to every football team every year, except the ones that go 12/13/14-0 and win a NC. And that doesn't happen too often.

Actually, didn't Teebz cry in 2009? So perhaps the SI curse doesn't apply to them. I think that's the year they won, actually... but they did also lose to Ole Miss.

Is Richardson really that short? Then again, I guess Landry's 6' 4", maybe all the others are just as tall. He looks like Q standing next to those guys.

And I just did a triple finger-cross special anti-SI curse dance right here in the living room, so don't worry guys, we're covered. Besides, the universe still owes us for 2009. Srsly, the NFL rookie of the year, out for the season, are you kidding me? We're good til like, 2053, at least.

2008: Florida (Tebow crying on national TV!)

Um, there was a pretty highly-promoted game at the end of that season involving Tebow and a team you're probably familiar with.

It didn't end so well for the good guys.

They did rank us #2 though. On the website they have us as #1, but on the cover we are number #2. That is fair considering we lost Travis. But what has Alabama done to deserve a #1 ranking? I think a brand new QB in the SEC is cause for major concern.

I think I know why the SEC is considered to be such a strong conference. HOLY ****! I would let Richardson and Jeffries dance with my date. They look a little stacked! They must work out!

You might get lucky. Maybe they'll put Landry next to Luck so he'll at least be staring back at you when you receive your magazine :)

This is really huge for some of those schools, especially South Carolina. Apparently only the second time they've had one of their own featured on the cover. Last time was the 70s???

Eventually an SEC team will run out of luck and actually have to face a team in an NC game that has their key starters. Hell, Saban alone has two BCS titles against one QB who had a broken hand on his throwing arm and in the other title game, he got to face a backup QB for 95% of the game. Injuries are reasons, not excuses. Deal with it. :)

Just so you guys know, OU has been featured on SIs cover quite a few times, and twice theyve gone on to win the National Championship. While those odds are on the negative side, it shows that we can and have won it all regardless of the "curse" before.

Also, OU has been preseason number one 9 times in the past, 10 now, also thought to be a devastating curse. 4 of those times theyve won the National Championship.

Curses cant stop destiny.

About as much as OU - zip. There is a 120 tie for #1 right now.
