In your mind and their mind they earned it....Still....it's just like the Whorns Deal...

Maybe it carries an Asterisk or a comment that Auburn Won the BCS Championship but it still fails to achieve a clear and decisive National Championship and that my friends doesn't make it a real National Championship....it makes it an Open Championship or at the very least a Disputed Championship.

I can never agree with Teams that win an AP National Championship as they were given it purely because someone either felt Sorry they didn't get a shot or the Favorite Unbeaten that didn't get matched up to play them was upset by a One Loss Team that really came on after dropping a close game early in the Season against a highly ranked team....

Whatever the case....when we won in 2000....we were Undefeated going into that game and not given a chance in hell of winning it. We did win and we did go 13-0 and we deserved being called 2000 National Champions. Nobody else could claim it or shed a dim light on it as we played against the Team that had won it the year before. Giving TCU credit like you are doing only serves to make people feel good but IMO it takes away from Teams who clearly achieved greatness like OUr 2000 National Champs did. We were amazing.

TCU had a great year and a very nice Bowl win against a one loss Wisconsin. They should have played Auburn but then if Oregon might have won a Bowl Game they would have become the AP's National Champion.
