Very cool to see...a few years ago, I checked the schedule, and the shuttle had just departed the station a few hours before the scheduled time to view. It looked like one was chasing the other. Amazing thing to watch

That is the coolest thing ever.

I have never seen it and I want to now.

I remember when the iss was completed and the TV commentators were saying that mankind had established a permanent foothold outside the planet.

That is a pretty cool thing if it is true and I want to see our tiny, little foothold.

My parents were on top of Mount Cadillac in Maine and got to see the Shuttle and ISS together. They had a set of very good binoculars and my dad said you could see both of them as they passed over.

Your sighting in Oklahoma is cool.

I watched it one night a few years ago when a shuttle was docked with it, it is very cool. Lasted a little over 3 minutes.

The First time I saw it we were out camping outside of the city where the ground reflection of city light was minimum and it was really wild to see it moving across the sky like that. You can see lots of stuff when you are out in remote places. The stars and sky are the best TV on Earth IMO.

www.heavens-above.com is another great website to track ISS view opportunities. The thing I like about this site as opposed to the NASA site is they list the magnitude for the passover and there is a view of the ground track during the pass, centred on your location. The lower the magnitude, the brighter the show. Tomorrow is a magnitude -1.3 and thus should be good.

Had to go back a ways to dig up this thread, but if there is anyone interested........ this morning, about an hour before sunrise, the planet Mercury will be rising withe the star Regulus.

It wont be as cool as watching the ISS, but if you have never seen Mercury before, here's a good opportunity, as it appears it will be a clear morning in Eastern Oklahoma.

Here's a link with more details.....
