There's about 3,000 butts in the seats.

Sounds like golf claps when Rams do something good.

Sam's play fakes have been stellar. He's had a lot of time.

Driving on his 4th series. End 1st qtr.

Bradford is still out there to start the 2nd quarter. I am so happy that football is back!

McDaniel's "new" offense sure looks a lot like KW's.

Great looking drive for TD. Surely Sammy sits now.

Right down to keep running it down at the goal line!

Can't believe I overlooked this one. I mean...I was stoked to see this season until all of the Strike stuff started. Once it was settled....it's really taken me some time to get excited about it all again.

I'm in a Fantasy league and getting excited about that but the pre-Season just hasn't hit me yet.

I have the Titans Game marked on my Calendar now and I'm ready. Oh well...33-10. Guess I didn't miss much.

Is it right that Danny Amendola is second String?

SAMOGRAPHY
2010 SEASON: Named the 2010 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year by the Associated Press...set numerous rookie records
in guiding the Rams to a six-win improvement from 2009…his 354 completions on 590 attempts were both NFL rookie
records...3,512 passing yards were the second most by a rookie in NFL history, trailing only Peyton Manning’s 3,739 in 1998…
tossed 18 touchdowns, tied for fifth most among rookies in NFL history…string of 174 completions without throwing an interception
during a midseason stretch set yet another rookie record…was one of only three quarterbacks to take all of his team’s
snaps in 2010, and was just the fourth rookie quarterback
in NFL history accomplish that feat in a 16 game season…

Amendola and that rookie tight end are going to give opponents fits as a combo.

It's been like that all over the NFL preseason so far, even Big D. Tons upon tons of empty seats. Is this lockout angst carrying over, or the fact that it's preseason? Thoughts?

I think it is, as always, a combo of things...

The lockout and the resulting media's cries that the name players won't play in any preseason games. (this hasn't been the case)

The price of tickets for preseason are the same for regular season games.

The confusion of fans as to who really is on their team now?

Instead of normal NFL media buildup to the season, all we heard was Labor stuff...tuned out the fans. They'll be back, but don't expect to see full stadia until the games really count.

I think it's just preseason, if the stadiums are half full then that is a good crowd. We went to the Cowboys-Raiders preseason game last year at Jerryworld, we were one section over from our seats at the OU-BYU in the lower bowl and if the Death Star was half full that is generous. Why do you think the owners wanted to change out two preseason games for two regular season games? We only went because a friend from OKC offered us free tickets that he couldn't use that night (a Thursday) that were part of his season ticket package. I would never pay to go to a preseason game, I think a bunch of others feel the same way.

I dunno bout the rest of you, but I love seeing preseason games and trying to pick out who's gonna make the final roster cut. I almost feel like I discovered Sam Shields and Frank Zombo because I saw them in the Green-Gold scrimmage back when they were just trying to make the team, watching them blow up plays and returns et al.

This year, the Packers have a defensive back with the first initials M.D. and he's awesome even though he's like second or third string right now. I DISCOVERED HIM! So when he makes the team, I'm gonna remember that I picked him out long before anyone else did :D

I had the NFL Network on most of the weekend outside of Red Sox games. The Jets-Texans game is on ESPN tonight.
