Sounds like the young man had to give up football...too bad. My brother is good friends with his dad here in KC.
This is just one of the many reasons Stoops is awesome....
Guess they had been on several recruiting visits...wine and dined, basically shown the "good life"...
then the visit to OU...
Stoops starts off by telling all the freshman parents...it's a business, school and football...your son will get up at 5:45 am and do this, this, this, this...etc. They told the Tapko's IF you son ends up starting he's got a 50/50 chance to get drafted...BUT it's up to HIM. Very business like, they were really impressed with his honesty and openness..the kid decided that was for him...too bad he couldn't keep playing...
