This has been a crazy year for me so far. I got a awesome coaching gig last fall and it has carried me to this point. The district decided to cut back on my hours and that would cut down on my funds so we had to part ways. It was heart breaking to say the least. I have wanted to coach and teach since I started college and now there is no way I can keep doing that right now.

I have put my degree and my connections(best friend) to good use and I start a new job on Monday, where I will be a Land man for a mineral rights company. The position will take me to Kansas but I will be able to come home every weekend.

I have a kiddo on the way and we have decided to name her Ella Marie Webb(after my mother and grandmother) I know that it hurt to move away from the career that I know and love but I could not ask for more right now. I am blessed and I only hope I can share those blessings with the ones I love and call my friends.

Kansas is a great place to be right now for a landman. My brother wrapped up a couple of big deals there recently.

I should probably know this, but what does a land man do? Just curious.

And best wishes in your new venture!

Little nuts.

That sounds like a nickname that can stick if you're not careful ;)
