Tulsa has had more than two inches so far today and it's barely 8 a.m.

There's still tons of color on the local radar.

A very good day to have both a rain jacket and umbrella.

Looks like we go some last night, got up and everything was wet. But it looks like we are on the outer edge and wont get a damn thing.

Bartlesville is getting wet. Maybe enough to close the 1/2 inch cracks in my backyard.

Oh hon, Simon didn't eat this morning. If you can get him to eat something before you head out I bet he'd appreciate it. :D

I live in SW Oklahoma and we literally have had no more than .10 inch in 3 months where I live while being pounded by 105 -108 heat virtually every day for over a month now.

We got 1/4 to 1/2 inch last night. That's the first rain I can recall since the big hail storm that moved through Norman and OKC several months back (we got about .10 inch that day). Prior to the .10 inch Easter was the last day we had any measurable rain.

I don't know how any farmer can make it in the SW part of the state right now. I haven't mowed my lawn in 2 months now. Unless we get much rain and the grass takes off I may not mow for the rest of the year. Incredible, a summer with virtually no need to mow the lawn.

when i got up this morn, the pool was nearly overflowing. which is hard to believe because until recently it was evaporating an inch or two a day. tulsa needs it in a big way.

Since Easter here we had a whooping 0.68 inches of rainfall. Though not as bad a OUH1, I too have only mowed 2 times this year... The yard has had 4 mowings, thanks the boy! :D

Anyway, rain gauge shows 2 inches since last night.

Now maybe we won't need FEMA to show up with watertrucks!

Only got about 1/3 inch of rain on the NW side of "The City" (OKC) last night.
Apparently, just north in Edmond they got more, but also some damaging winds like we got the night before.

Still 12,000 in OKC metro without power. 4K in Edmond.

Simon always tells me that he hasn't eaten anything, so I don't know when to believe him. Alas, while they did both do their business this morning, I did not feed Simon.

Cute story: That jacket that was sitting in your car? Brink slept on it this morning before I took it with me. Guess he likes the way your car smells?

I just checked the statewide radar --- has mostly left the state. The area that seemed to get the most was right around Tulsa within a hour's drive radius or so :D

For those of you that missed out or barely got any, there's tons more rain chances this week and while droughts beget more droughts, the same can be said about moisture in the ground and the air --- it leads to more. Your neighboring areas in Oklahoma will share the wealth of precipitation soon!

Is that a promise to reduce the rain deficit in half by the end of this week?

I think this is the fourth or fifth day in a row of rain up here. Not that I'm complainin' or anything, 'tis kind o' nice to see all of the green stuff actually be some remote shade of green for once.

I think the radar is starting to show more traffic/ground level crap now instead of actual rain, so I think it'll come to an end here soon. Down near McAlester, however, is still in the yellow/red range.

We got 3/10ths a couple nights ago, and right about 1" this morning. The thermometer on the back porch says 69 degrees. At 2:30 in August. I'll effing take it. Drinks on the patio are in order for this evening.

We still need a bunch more. 1.3" since April ain't gonna cut it.

80s again today it looks like. We got some rain on the north side of the town again today, so we are on our fifth-straight day of rain. If we go in aggie football terms circa mid aughts, "Six of the last 7" days I guess.

Alas, I think this is going to be the end of it, so we might really resort to aggie logic after we drift back into drought and 100s. :(

Before 2004 game: Two of the last three! :les:
2005: Two of the last four! [hairGel]
2006: One of the last two in Stillwater! :stunned:

And then... it'll just fade into distant memories :eddie:

Tulsa is about to get rained on again, but the radar only shows the color yellow, so not heavy stuff. Should make for a cooler day at least. Yay!
