Sooner legend. No doubt. My Dad was a teenager in those days and he told me story after story about listening to the games when Harris led the great teams of the 50's.

He and Steve Davis both quarterbacked OU football to two national titles. Rest in peace. Mr. Harris.

Great clips...as a young Sooner fan I had the opportunity to see Jimmy Harris play in person... he has always been a favorite...great player among a team of great players! RIP

Got to meet Jimmy once and asked him for his autograph. Such a character and overall nice guy! When I asked him he said "you're too young to even know who I am!" my reply "you're a legend, and legends aren't forgotten!" his response "oh hell, I'm an old man!!" :D RIP Mr H!

I sent a couple of cards to Jimmy about 10 years ago to get signed for my son; he sent both back personalized and autographed along with a nice letter thanking us for remembering him; RIP Jimmy
