Finch's strength is how fast he hits the hole...

Thanks Brian, what part of reading did you not understand?
sophomore Roy Finch told me that he’ll be playing a lot of slot receiver. He expects to go in motion a bunch in an effort to get him in open space and create mismatches with the defense.
Thanks for the input DA

I said headline, as in the headline on the article. He is going to be going in motion out of the backfield, but not moving to slot receiver. The title of a post or a thread is not a headline.

Not too big of a deal. He'll still get the ball in the backfield, I hope he gets it a lot though, he has to be our best RB right now, right?

Murray motioned to the slot quite a bit. That doesn't exactly sound groundbreaking

With this much talent you must use all available resources, We are loaded at RB, Get the ball to them in the open and let them Run.

Don't we recruit actual receivers to play the slot position? I don't see a big win in putting a RB out there, even if he does have talent.

...and yeah, I know the whole motion him out of the backfield to set up mismatches dealio.

I actually wouldn't mind that move. I don't think Finch has the durability to get a ton of carries out of the backfield, and his open field moves would definitely aid him in the slot.

I dont see the big deal with this. We have all seen what he can do out of the backfield so its not like Stoops is gonna take carries away from him to put him in the slot instead. It just shows me that Stoops can see the versatility this guy brings us. Its just another way to use one of our most explosive players. It just might mean that Roy gets less breathers, but im sure hes conditioned well enough to handle it.

Darren Sproles is going to wish he was Roy Finch when it is all said and done with. And what kind of Sooner fan would post a Darren Sproles highlight video that includes the fluke KSU win over Oklahoma in 2003? :)

This is old news......Finch in the slot, Millard carrying tha ball more.....these schemes have been talked about by the staff since spring.

The plan is to use Finch like Reggie Bush, sans house. F Darrin Sproles.

I'm fine with him going to the slot at times. I would love to see Josh try to run Millard right down their throat. Think about it, a 240 pound dude with decent speed would really open up the passing game. Also, it would allow Finch to possibly catch the ball in space when they clog the middle to stop Millard.

Millard I thought was about 255

Hmm... he's actually 249 according to this. That's a heck of a load coming at you.

And how easily he makes the first guy miss.

It's good to see they are gonna try to get him some snaps. His injuries have hurt him. Very talented guy....I hope he turns it around this year and stays healthy.

Sproles is an incredible RB and that win in the Big XII Game was no fluke, Sproles put it on us all night long.
