Thats a joke of a schedule. Could be the right formula though, as long as they go undefeated, and theres 1 or less other undefeateds they will get the nod. Sad thing is, they will most likely drop at least 1-2 of those games.

Unless that new Miami coach can work magic, you an pencil VT in as the coastal division rep in the CCG.

Dirty little secret about Beamerball is that they always drop 1-2 games they SHOULD win.

That schedule would even be weak for James Madison. :D

I don't know. I see them starting out 0-2.

If you lose to James Madison -- in your home opener, no less -- you should go on a 5-year restriction from any BCS title game consideration.

A 3 loss Big 12/SEC team > undefeated ACC team.

If we manage to get to the national championship and play an undefeated VA Tech with that schedule, it will almost feel like UCONN all over again. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait for # 8, I just hope we beat a legit team.

Yep. 10-2 best case scenario, with the vaunted Beamerball special teams losing them one of those.

I hope they go undefeated and get into the national title game. OU would crush VT by double digits!! They are the most over hyped program of all time!!!!

hey man, they have to play at Wake Forest and at Duke. Don't knock it til you've tried it.

Not true. VT is a solid program and usually fields solid teams; Uconn, not so much.

It's still better than Boise's.

Perhaps saying it will cause it not to happen:

Imagine the BCS mnc game being a VT/Boys St matchup!

I would consider that worse than the '84 byu mnc....

Boise plays TCU and at Georgia

both of those opponents are better than anything VT has scheduled in my opinion?

I don't know if their schedules are weaker, but some pretty easy schedules that I have seen are North Carolina State's and Stanford's.

Ok, TCU and Georgia -- decent. After that it's pathetic. Then it's Toledo, Tulsa, Nevada, Fresno St, Colorado St, Air Force, UNLV, San Diego State, Wyoming and New Mexico.

I'm not selling Va Tech's schedule as anything other than below-average BCS, but it's better than Boise's from top to bottom.

@ Duke will be tough.

That is a week schedule, I fully expect them to be undefeated before they play FSU for the tittle.

No, I think that lists the whole season.

That's the whole regular season. The ACC title game isn't listed & Mojo's right, it in all probability should be FSU that they'd play in that one.

I was referring to the "week" schedule comment (rim-shot!). Hey, it's pre-season :O
