I'd just like some of those little ketchup packets and some napkins.

TIA

I'm dieting pretty hard, but if you could just stop by my office and let me smell that glorious gyro smell from your clothing, it would make me happy.

Thanks.

Hell, I'll have one of each, please. What I wouldn't give to be back in Norman for a week to eat at all of the places I miss.

Forever I think. I don't get to Norman much, but wasn't there a post in the last 9 months saying it was going to close?

It's not a good place to be when the temperature is 110 degrees - unless they upgraded their A/C.

Glad to see that The Greek House is still open -- one of my favorite Sunday night dinner places back in the early 1980s.

Man, that pic brings back memories. I lived in a basement apartment across the street from there my soph. year. I ate there at least once a week, usually more.

I miss Greek House, Pad Thai, Misal, Ozzie's...:(

Their little block of Feta Cheese is a nice touch as well as the Olives they use. I like taking my Son there as he always gives me his feta and Olive. Doubling those up makes it a bit hard to polish off the plate of food they pile on but I don't mind just taking some of it to go when I get to the TGs a bit early. Once the beer is cool enough to drink I can start nibbling at the left overs.

I like Jims Coney Island in Tulsa at 19th and Harvard too. They are another Family run business that have been there for generations.

There is another decent Gyro place at Pine and Mingo called Cristy's that has a decent Gyro Plate too.

All 3 are different but I like them all.

The Coney Island behind the Barnes and Nobel and AMC 20 Movie Theatre at Southroads Mall at 41st and Yale have the good Coneys but they also have tamales. I know that seems weird to some of you but the Tamales are so good they are sometimes Sold Out by the time Dinner Hours roll around. I put some of that Louisianna Hot Suace on them with the chili cheese and onions and they are great with a bag of Doritos.

Not at all weird, I love tamales, A round 1993 in OKC I worked for my Grandfather in OKC we had several warehouses around the south..OKLA. And Texas. One afternoon returning from one of my accounts I noticed a sign in the front yard of a very poor neighborhood home.. we are talking N.W. 2nd an Penn area... Tamales, Well I love my tamales, so I decide to stop ...I walk to door and knock on the wood. A couple minutes go by and I am brought into their home!, I am a bit suspicious but venture foreword, I was taken to their home kitchen and given the utmost best tamales I have ever had. No English was spoken ...but that was OK, most of our workers in our Texas facilitates could not speak as well, We parted ways with me and my bag of home Tamales to go...
