For our little weak arse dying conference we sure have a lot of ranked teams, hehe.

SEC: 8
Big 12: 5
B1G: 5
Pac 12: 2
ACC: 2
MWC: 2
Stupid Domer: 1

Does anyone think that FSU is overratted? Sure they are good but top 5?

(1) Oklahoma at (5) Florida State................CANT WAIT!

FSU will be at least 4 when they play OU considering either 3 or 4 will lose.

Heh. Week 1 they host Utah State. I say they win by 3. :D

After Week 2 they should be out. They play Miss. St. at home. I'll predict a 2 touchdown loss. :)

Let's try and be the first since 2004, but that doesn't count. So 1999, when FSU ran the table.

Yes. And I love it. They will be sky high after beating the two crappy teams they open up with by 60 each.

Probably the same number of times a team in the BCS title game went 5-7 the next year. Voters don't know which type of team will show up.

True enough. This year's version of the whorns, with all the changes, are as big a wildcard as you'll find. Who knows what they'll do.

I don't... They played really well late in the yr. and knocked of SEC East champ S Carolina (And everyone knows how great the SEC is;) ) I think they are back for a long time and we are gonna have to really play well to beat em.

The best thing about being ranked preseason #1 and having a tough road game EARLY is that you have a great chance to control your own destiny win or lose in Tallahassee. As long as you don't lay an egg in Tally, and if you do then you don't belong in the title conversation to begin with.

Jimbo is breathing new life into recruiting and playing that hadn't been seen there in years. No wonder Bobby was forced out, no disrespect to his let-me-vote-OU-lower-than-all-the-other-coaches-in-the-coaches-poll arse

I wonder if Bob used to bully younger bro Mark? That might be what gives us the edge, the fact that Stoops seemed to know what to expect outta FSU's defense. Hmm...

We expected a confused and inexperienced defense playing against a top 10 offense last year. Also, our guys can't wilt away from home.

I won't lie, I hate these #1 rankings early on. I REALLY hope that us sh*tting the bed against Missery and A&M showed our younger players it's not a given and not to get a big head.

Everyone else is wearing a suit or blazer and you show up looking like you're ducking out to play a quick 9 holes.

He WAS out playing 9 holes, no kidding.

These are crucial days for the Big 12, and the league unveiled its branding initiative early Monday evening by introducing each of the Big 12 coaches and a slogan around the Big 12's new tagline, "How We Play."

Tuberville, however, was the only coach in the league not present. He was at a golf event elsewhere in the metroplex with Texas Tech alumni. Texas A&M is the central figure in the most recent Big 12 dustup, but the league could have used a truly united front.
