It is useful for providing an email to websites that may spam later.

I asked a family member this very thing last night but I referenced 1996. eh. close enough. ;)

To be serious, my wife uses it and is ALWAYS having problems with it. I always kid her about using it.

Thats pretty much what my yahoo email does. It's the same account I've had since 1996. It sits there and collects spam. I pretty much only use it when I have to give an email addy to a website.
