and I never thought it would happen to me.

I was getting my license renewed at the dept. of safety, got there at 8AM and I was already 35th in line. I looked at the swiftness of the state workers and gave myself 3 hours before my number would be called.

So I ran some errands.

I went to the bank, Home Depot, etc. for an hour and a half and then checked back in...still 16 to go.

Ate an omelet at Around the Corner, bought a t shirt a Summit and noticed a barber shop on my walk back to the license place. I still had and hour, so I decided to get my hair cut.

There was no one there. I mean no one. Not one person in the barber shop...except me. After a minute or so the bathroom door opened.

Maybe it's just me but I felt that story was very anticlimactic.....

Who came out of the bathroom? Was it Rick? I have been getting my hair cut there for 20 years. Rick's dad (Junior) cut my hair until he retired. What did you have at Around the Corner. I like their old fashioned hamburgers, and their homemade fries are outstanding.

Smallest downtown you will ever see for a town of 80,000.

Marisa Tomei's line in Crazy Stupid Love about "going downtown" was one of many, very funny lines.

There is an Asian massage parlor down there not too far from downtown.

I can't believe that Edmond cops have allowed it to stay open. Maybe its because First Baptist Church is still looking for a preacher.

Why didn't you just go to a tag agency?

I was wondering the same thing. It is right down Broadway from Around the Corner, Friendly Barber and the shirt place.

Not that often...2-3 times per year, usually breakfast. I like it but I never get by there for lunch.

I'll pick you up sometime, and we'll have a burger there. There is a brand new Italian place just next door to it.

They only have a downtown for appearance's sake... Cause, well... it IS Edmond after all.

PC's is better than UCO's?

Ive played and attend both schools, PC's is way better. From locker room to field. UCO's only advantage is a lackluster video screen.

As a fan I preferred the renovated UCO stadium although I haven't been to PC's since Bradford played there for PC North in 2003.

I mean playing in both, I would say PC is just better overall. Better field, better locker room, better layout.
