Momma just texted me. We're leaving for South Carolina in the morning, so she decided to run to the walmarts to pick up a few things. She didn't realize she broke her cardinal rule - NEVER GO TO THE WALMARTS ON THE 1ST11!!

She texted "PWT everywhere. More polyester, filthy kids, died hair and body piercings than the state fair. Let me outta here!"

Heh.

Oh it's not just Wal-Mart. You can go to Reasor's or Super Target and see the same thing, which is ridiculous because those people should NOT be shopping at those stores.

That's one of the golden rules if you live in Eastern Kentucky. Stay away from Walmart at the first of the month. The checks come in, and then there is a hillbilly stampede to Walmart. We never go visit our outlying satellite operations there at the beginning of each month because the streets are too full of the newly "rich."

What pisse me off the most about food stamps....

Where I work, a mom and pops meat market, yes I am a butcher (very fun and cool job), the 1st, 5th, and 10th of every month food stamp people come in.

I understand you need to eat, but I find it very frustrating they come Ina dn will spend a crap load of your money on ribeye, t-bone, filets, pork loin, strips and what not.

I'll put it this way, filets cost $14.59/pound. Ribeye and tbone $8.95.

Yeah they can't afford to bathe on a regular basis or find a job that supports them better, yet they can spend a good chunk on prime cut steaks.

Not only that but just got back from wal mart here, had to get AT&T SIMM card. In front of me was a fat *** white woman paying with food stamps. The only thing she bought was about 30 bucks worth of lil debbies.

I wish I could be job less wear skanky clothes and freeloader off the taxpayers all while eating lil debbies!

I guess I could, but I like not being at the bottom of the food chain.

I was at Homeland a couple of months ago standing behind this guy with a loaded down grocery cart. He's talking on his cell phone and when it's his turn to check out he tells whoever he's talking too to hold on. He hands the checker his foodstamp card and ask her to check the balance on his card. She scans it and tells him he has something like three fifty on his card. He tells the checker "screw it" and walks out the door. I ask what that was all about and she said they started staggering the dates the food stamp cards are loaded and the morons haven't figured it out yet. She said they had been telling them for months when it was going into effect but most of them are so stupid they can't figure it out. The guy left frozen food, meat, and other perishables.

One time I was at Wal-Mart and a helicopter landed in the parking lot. A guy in a mink coat gets out, comes inside, and pays for a pack of juicy fruit with a food stamp card. On the way out he bought $100,000 in girl scout cookies with a briefcase full of cash. Damn wailfarr.

At a place my wife used to work, once a month a lady would come in and sell steaks she had just bought at the grocery store for half price. Pretty sure she was buying them with her food stamps, and using the cash she made for her dope.

Back on topic, I went to the WalMarts yesterday as well. Upon arriving, I saw a large woman and her large son. The son was shirtless, and was wearing two pairs of mesh shorts. One was on properly, and the other was falling off his ***. As I watched, the son adjusted his shorts so that the second pair sat delicately on the curve of his rear. I was mystified.

I am now old.

Well, except deboning rounds....bone in round steak we could not give away so we sold the bones for dogs.
Well, that and the two times I tried to remove my fingers in the ****ing saw, I was sick as a dog the second time and lost my concentration while trying to keep my footing on the slick floor.....and I didn't even realize I had tried to cut my forefinger in half.

I only go to Wal Mart when I feel like making fun of poor people.

Ah, a poor people white knighter. Good jorb sticking up for the downtrodden victims of us working folk.

For vet: I stopped at the walmarts in Sallisaw yesterday. I must say that your walmarts is a lot better than my walmarts for people watching. I almost got out my phone and started doing another "people of the walmarts" thing. Dude in front of us in line had brown, filthy sweatpants, cowboy boots, a t-shirt with a big skeleton on it, and suspenders. He was every bit of 400 lbs., and he had at least 5 inches of butt crack showing between the suspenders in the back. I didn't pay attention to what he was buying, I was mesmerized by his crack.

Another dude had on a leather vest, skin tight jeans - with the vest open in the front, but tucked into the jeans. WTF? He was covered in crappy/faded tats. He was wearing a leather cowboy hat, complete with neck strap pulled tight, sunglasses on his face, and 3 more pairs propped up on his hat. You could smell the BO in the next aisle.

There were a lot more. When we walked into the store a "family" was coming out. The dad, who was a lot younger than me had his full set of false teeth 3-inches outside his mouth clacking them together making all kinds of racket. The wife? kids? didn't act like it was anything outta the usual.

It was an interesting stop.

Oh yeah, why were we there? Cause momma likes to have a paper atlas to look at. Yeah, we've a tom-tom, iPhones, etc., but she just wanted a paper map. Maybe she's one of the peeps of the walmarts too?

All you folks with Walmart stories remind me of a story told by OU Professor Gene Shepherd (retired) about when he was a kid about 9 years old, back in the 1930s.

His class in school had a Christmas project of buying groceries for poor folks. Every kid in the class was asked to donate something for this project.

So Dr. Shepherd took this seriously and decided he was going to earn some money to buy something for the poor folks. They lived in a rural area, but he walked from house to house, asking if they had any chores. With lots of rejections, he finally found someone who was willing to pay him some money to do some chores.

With his hard-earned money, he went to the store and bought the largest bag of macaroni they had. He took it to school and proudly placed the macaroni in the pile of donations.

The next Saturday morning, while at home, he sees a car pull in the driveway, runs out to see who the visitor is, and is surprised to see it's his teacher and principal. They say, "Hi Gene!" as they walk to the trunk of the car. They open the trunk up, with Gene peeking in, and he sees a big box of groceries, with his bag of macaroni right on top.
