I'd say the fire danger right now is at an all time high down there...lived in Edmond 38 years and never saw **** like I'm seeing down there now...

I think I'll take a pic of my pasture behind the back porch. The only thing green is the leaves on the trees (and a bunch of them are already turning and falling off) and the grass where the lateral lines run from the septic tank. Everything else is BURNT THE **** UP. It's damned depressing. You can't walk barefoot in the grass because it's prickly and too effing hot - like concrete or something. If I wanted this ****, I'd have stayed in Tucson.

The thermometer (in the shade) on the back porch with the burnt up pasture behind.

The lateral lines. The little dirt spot on the left is where the septic tank is.

My yard is toast, my lateral lines are like deans, it the only place that is green. I let the garden go, i am afraid the well might go dry. I havent had a problem yet, but i am scared it might happed

Since I retired, I can water the garden every morning. Even though I do, the tomatoes leafs are still curled up. It sucks, because all the tomatoes split due to the watering, but if I don't water, they'll burn up.

Methinks God is pissed at us or something.

The Great Pyrenees Miss Xena copping a cool off in the hallway. Poor dog comes in and just flops on the hardwood floor in front of the fan.

When it snows, she's in heaven. This kind of weather puts a huge hurtin' on her.

Yeah, I have a Saint Bernard. He's outside more than I would think he would be, but he just lays on the tile the rest of the day, tongue out.
