Heading up to Rams training camp tomorrow with my son. He's hoping to meet Sam. It will be good to see Sam, CJ Ah You, and Jonathon Nelson. Wish Mark Clayton was going to be there, but I don't think he's signed yet.

I'll try to find pics on the intraweb somewhere if they're available. personal pics of sooner fans with sooner nflers would be better though :)

Have a great time and the reason Mark isn't signed yet is due to his knee not being 100%. Spags was asked about him after practice Saturday and this is what he said..

(On WR Mark Clayton)
“Mark, right now, the leg’s not right just yet. So we’re just going to hold off. I’ve talked with Mark, everything is very positive there but we’re just going to see where his injury goes for right now.”

They were already working out a new deal but the lockout put a halt to everything. With that being said, I would be stunned if he isn't a Ram this season at some point. He made too much of an impact on offense and is the best receiver on the squad, even with MSW being added.

After 26 years suffering as a Miami Dolphins fan I am officially fed up and am jumping on the Rams' bandwagon this year.

So have I.

Four Sooners on one team... not a bad pipeline.

Just got back. Had a great (but hot) day with my son. Not sure how to upload pics. Will try and do that later. A few observations from the day.

First, and this has nothing to do with OU, but Steven Jackson is a big, big man. I can't even imagine trying to tackle him.

Sam looked like Sam. Great throws! He's put on even more muscle. Heard Isaac Bruce on the radio say nothing but great things about Sam after practice. Bruce was at camp working with the WR's.

CJ Ah You didn't practice.

Jonathon Nelson looked good. His group practiced near we were and overheard his position coach complimenting him a lot. Seemed to be picking things up good. Did see him have to run a lap around the field later in practice but don't know what he did to have to do that.

Today was the first day in full pads. They went from 2pm-5pm with only a 10 min. break to sit and rest. The rest of the time they were on the move from one drill to the next. It's impressive to watch how hard these athletes work.

I feel bad for the guy playing Rampage. It must be hot as hell in St Louis. It certainly is here in Oklahoma :(

Thanks for posting! Sammie still looks good in a red jersey! :D

Jackson is a big man, but he looks leaner to me in that pic. Awesome if true, 'cause he can be a very nice receiver out of the backfield.

Not bad... I'm a fan of buzzed hair though. Especially in this disgusting heat. Plus hes getting paid some serious $$$ to do it.

No. I think when they were doing 7 on 7, we were back under the tents. We got the VIP treatment yesterday. We got to park in the players parking lot and sit under the tent with the Rams family and friends. Had access to the air conditioned lobby. They were all the way across on a far practice field for most of their scrimmages. We went over a couple of times but didn't see the 7 on 7. They did a lot of individual work over by us. By the time you walked over to watch a lot of the team stuff, the horn would blow and they'd be off to a different drill in a different area. With my son, we stayed close to the tents, bottled water, and AC. I had to go in the lobby and wake him up once. He went in to cool off and fell asleep. When we left at 5 pm (after practice was over), a sign on a bank by the practice facility said it was 100 degrees. So that tells you what it was like during practice.

Reportedly Mark Clayton is signing a contract with the NY Giants. Bummer.

Whoops...just saw the correction. It's Mike Clayton, formerly of the Bucs. First reported by the NFL Network as Mark Clayton by mistake.

Looks like the Rams have signed Jerious Norwood. If he can stay healthy he should be able to give Jackson some relief.

Just signed Cadillac Williams, too. We could see a much-improved Rams offense this year. Depth at runningback, brought in Sims-Walker at WR, hopefully Clayton back from injury, Kendricks could be quite a weapon at TE, Gibson sounds like he's stepping it up, brought in Dahl at guard and the two extremely young tackles will have more experience...

I'm excited.

The thing that makes me such a fan of Sam is that while other players are enjoying their camera time and their sometimes undeserved over-the-top media coverage (Tebow), we all know he's just been working his backside off on getting better and improving. We're talking about a guy who got, what... $50 million and bought a ping pong table as his big, fancy first high life purchase? The guy is still just down to earth, level-headed Sam and that will help him to continue shocking people who don't know any better. :)
