I don't know if anyone else follows this but Rivals always does a countdown of the top 150 teams as well as top 100 players in college football for the upcoming year. OUr first Sooner has cracked the board.

For a top Heisman hopeful, 26th seems pretty low. I was expecting him more in the top 10. Sidenote....rivals ranked * as the #22 team. One word: generous

Realistically, the Heisman only considers QBs and RBs, so this list considers a lot more players. And these these lists are silly anyway.

Ya when you are including OLs, DLs, etc then a Heisman winner/finalist could be around 26. If he trows up last year's stats and is sitting at 0-1 loss then he will vault into the top 5-10 of that list me thinks.

Not if he loses a few games. Which is a distinct possibility. They won't be as good as last year.

Tony Jefferson? Ben Habbern? Jamell Flemming? Frank Alexander? Ronnell Lewis? Demontre Hurst? (all preseason Big XII selections save for Flemming who technically wasnt in school)

Jammel Fleming, Tony Jefferson, and Kenny Stills make strong cases.

I didn't know you ment for top 25. Ryan Broyles and Travis Lewis there, I guess. But do they expect them to have a better season than Landry?

Travis Lewis won't be on this list. He wasn't even a 1st team All-Big 12 selection last year. Broyles and Landry will be the only 2 Sooners on this list, I do believe.

Lewis is and will likely be a Butkus award finalist. I'm pretty sure one of the nations top linebackers will be a top 25.

Yep its official, all credibility for this ranking is gone. Robert Griffin ranked higher than Landry? In what world is any single baylor player better than any single Sooner?

Sorry I even posted this thread. I guess Garrett f'in gilbert shows up next at 24

I'm not dogging at him. He's a very good player. I just don't think he will end up on this list. Is he one of the top 100 player in America, yea, but it's not what people from Oklahoma think, it's the national perception in this list
