Something educational. Can't start too early. When my kids were little they liked those picture books with buttons to push - with prerecorded sounds/music.

My daughter started walking at 10 months and I think this toy helped a lot. Plus she would hammer on the buttons for hours.

Its almost football season. How about an OU cheer leading outfit, baby OU socks and a baby OU hair bow, along with a gift certificate to a photography studio? :)

I second the Laugh and Play Learning Table. My nephew started walking at 10 months and I, too, credit that table as being a big reason for it.

He loved slapping the little piano keys. One word of advice, though: velcro that phone down!

anything with colors and noise - its been awhile since i've purchased a gift for that age - but the interactive/responsive toys are easy to find -

and you're never too young for your first glock....

My grandson is almost 14 months old. Right now, his favorite toys are any kind of a ball, books (the kind w/ cardboard pages) and his walker.

My Ex, Convinced my son that he almost died in a walker when he was a Baby and that they are dangerous. He wont have one in his house for her. Hell anything is dangerous if ya dont watch em.

the walker saved my sanity with jk2 - he used to pick that thing up and run with it

i agree with the book idea - there are lots of "talking books" now a days - the interactive kind

You mentioned an OU teddy bear, but did you get the Boomer Sooner ringtone one? :D

Seriously, there is the cutest bear out there that if you pull its legs, it plays the lullaby version of Boomer Sooner. We gave it to some OU friends a few years ago.

When my grandson walks by himself, he looks like he's doing an imitation of Frankenstein. When he uses his walker, he's in high gear all the time.

Big legos!
Prepared the child for an upgrade at age 6 and the Guiness Book of World Lego Records!

Vet - you gotta enough cash to get the real dealio down the road, don't you?
No! I mean real size legos!

I wondered about that. My grandson loves his walker and he won't have shoes on his feet until he's walking more. I'm thinking they will come as a terrible shock to him!
