Why do they call him AD if his initials are AP?

AD was his nickname from when he was a child it means "All Day" as in how long he would go out and play. The media must have thought someone typoed his initials and have been screwing up since they started covering him.

Why do they call him AD if his initials are AP?

Because his real name is Adrian Deterson

considering how the story is set up, it's almost like a child with a disability is meeting his lifelong hero and AD doesn't exactly look like himself in that picture and, well, Reggie looks like a goof.

How's he doing? At the moment, the ferocious Vikings back is doing as well as a tween would do face-to-face with the Biebs: rapidly losing motor function. His legs buckle. His hands tremble. Eventually, Peterson gathers his jaw off the floor long enough to form several unintelligible sounds ("ergh" being one) and two words: Weird journalism

Reggie Miller wasn't as good at Football as Deterson.

It's cool Reggie finally got his Autograph.
