I think the all-blacks are fine. Anything with MORE orange is disgusting.

My high school's colors were orange and black. They had black on black for home games, and white on black for away. Very little orange. It was fine. I could stomach it. Now they pour all that god-awful orange anywhere they can: pants, jerseys, helmets. It's nasty.

Those grey on orange are absolutely atrocious.

I'm running out of adjectives for how much I hate the color orange. And it really has nothing to do with oSu. I just hate the color.

The problem isn't the uniforms per se, the problem is that orange is one of their primary colors, and just doesn't look good on a football uniform (or, really, just about anything else besides . . . an orange?). They're screwed and don't have much for good options outside of changing their color scheme completely.

Actually, it's funny you mention their old uniforms looking like OSU was not a priority. I work for a large Nike dealer and up until this year, Nike carried a stock jersey called the Cowboy jersey that came in a variety of colors. We put quite a few little league and school teams in this jersey.

On a side note, I don't really get all the hate for the uniforms. I actually think they are an upgrade from their current unis, and personally think they looked pretty good. Would I ever want OU to go to something like this? Hell no. There are certain programs like OU, Bama, etc that should never change. But for a school like OSU, I say good for them.

I know most of you don't like the "Oregon" uniform look, but you might as well get use to because that's the direction the uniform industry is heading. Very soon you will even start to see high school teams with these same/similar uniforms. Uniforms and equipment will always change with time, and for now, this type of uniform is here to stay.

There's no way to make those colors look good together. The orange OSU uses is far too clowny.

They should keep is simple - white jerseys with black, untrimmed numbers; orange jerseys with white, untrimmed numbers (a la Tennessee).

Tennessee and Texas both have gross orange colors. But, they keep the third colored trim off, which makes their oranges look less clowny. Clowny, to be sure, but less so that OSU and their constant uniform messes.

The overarching problem with OSU is that they don't know who the hell they are, so they have to change uniforms every few years like a mid-major.

Robert Allen was just on the Tulsa Animal talking about how the kid that just committed to osu said the uniforms helped hid decisions. I don't normally care for Kevin Ward of the Tulsa Animal but I thought it was great when he asked Allen if you really want a kid who chooses a school based on the uniforms. I have been posting on gameusdeduniverse.com, which is targeted more toward the NFL, in my opinion, I'm sure those folks are sick of my Sooner posts. I collect game-worn/used OU memorbilia and I post pictures of my recently obtained items on that site. I was hoping to start a "Show off your Sooners Game-Worn items" thread. I think it would be great to see what other people have in their collection. Thanks again for your response.

Adrian Peterson was getting all the publicity by the media outlets; claiming the weight of the offense would be on his shoulders without Bomar. Basically the team was in disarray according to the media. This was confirmed by Stoops by electing to remove the nameplates so that the team could form an identity as a "team" and not by individual efforts.

I know he specifically mentions intentionally deciding not to have them and how he thought it was odd that there was such an uproar, he said players were supposed to be identified by their number, not their name. Due to fan disapproval the nameplates were returned the following season. The placement on the back via stitching, sewing, embossing, whatever was irrelevant.
