"Don't throw it to stone hands!!!" LOL. He improved as the season went on but some of his earlier drops were so bad it took away my ability to scream at the tv.

He did a lot better as the season went on. He showed some serious speed for a big boy in Stillwater.

I'm excited to see more of him this year. We should be pretty good at TE this year.

His speed is goin to be huge at TE this season. I'm curious how they are goin to use Haywood this season... They used him sparingly last season, maybe just to get him used to game time tempo. I've read he is the most talented out of the three, just has problems with blocking.

Awesome this season.

50+ receptions, 700 Yards, 12+ TD

Hide and watch...You do know he's out TE....Right...?

I think Hanna is much more likely to be beat out by Austin Haywood than to put up Gresham-like numbers.

Yup, and I'll watch with no hiding. I hope he does put up Gresham-like numbers. I've just not seen a lot of evidence this is likely to happen.

Carry on.

After that play, I said if they would have used Ratterree he would have caught it. Because he is an Oklahoma kid and walk on and all. Then comes the bowl game, doe!!!

Psssst. I think he is talking about Jim Grisham. He was a fullback for us in 62, 63 or so. He had pretty good hands.;)

Yeah, that was the worst one.

That one was the worst, but he certainly made up for it in stoolwater. Also he was beasting in the fsu game. I think he will have a really good year.

James Hanna won't be as good as Jermaine, ever. But he could have similar stats.

I see a bunch of Redzone TD's coming

OMG, we sound like a bunch of idiot poke fans. As good as GRESHAM!??!?! Please.

True, Jermaine is one of those once in a lifetime type of players. However we do use our TE well. I think our system can make the most out of a good strong and athletic TE.

I want to see both Hanna and Haywood bowl over an OSU d-Back and run to the house. They are both going to be matchup problems for defenses this year.

He's not Jermaine Gresham, nor will he ever be. However, he did show that he is an excellent option capable of big plays. I hope to see him effective in the red zone as well.

25-30 catches with 6 TD's will be enough from him. He's a good college football player and he will make many positive plays for the Sooners in 2011.

We've pretty much seen what he can do. If he gets to be a better blocker, then our offense will be better as a result. He's probably not going to make many defensive coordinators lose sleep by himself.

I'd be willing to guess Hedgehog Gundy wakes up in a cold sweat once in a while thinking about JH sprinting down the sidelines. Just guessing though.

Let's not get too carried away Gresh was one of the best players we've had here in the past 10 years

Gresham was a monster that defenses had nightmares trying to stop. Hanna emerged late last season as a legit threat, and something for DCs to sleep on this season, but he's not even at Gresham's 2007 level quite yet. I don't think JH is big or strong enough to ever be on par with JG. But, like stated above, a guy named Trent Smith was a pretty big part of a National Championship run before. I think he's fast approaching that consistent big play capability like Trent had.

He has absolutely no chance of being as good as Gresham. Few do. Keith Jacksons and Germaine Greshams don't happen very often.
