to tell the difference between a brown recluse and any other type of brown spider. What's more, I bet you can't either.

Big whoop wanna fight about it?

If it bites ya and the tissue necroses it just might be a fiddleback.

I used to find 'em in my garage in Norman. It was full of clutter. Just what they like.

Fiddlebacks definitely have a different look than other brown spiders. Most spiders have 8 eyes but fiddlebacks have 6. Now determining the species of fiddleback is much more difficult since you have to examine the genitalia to determine that.

This is why we have Mongo.

Actually around here it's very easy to tell. Recluse' are the dominant arachnid around this part of the country unfortunately. Hobo spiders, wood/wolf are pretty common too. Just kill every spider you see, cuz I ****in hate em!

Remember anytime you see a wood/wolf spider, there is another around (they run around in pairs).

Kill ever spider you see? If you did that then pests that actually bother you would drive you nuts. Spiders actually do have a purpose and that purpose makes your life more comfortable. Well, unless a poisonous spider bites you then it's not very comfortable.

That is a blatant lie.

How about you name the time and place instead of idle threats?

Most people confuse the wolf spider

with the recluse

I guess I've been around spiders too much. Other than having 8 legs they don't look much alike.

You'd be better of to leave the wolf spider be. He can kill recluses, roaches, flies, and other nuisances.

I like wolf spiders enough to let them live as long as they don't chase me.

Why are there wasps? What good do they do?

Rule #1 - If in doubt, kill it! (spiders and snakes, that is)

Rule #2 - "stir the area up well" when working around piles of leaves, or old dry wood before you go in with your hands.....and wear gloves and long sleeve shirts.

Black, red, or yellow, bites a fellow, you know.

I disagree on the snakes, unless it's a rattler I just let em be. Could use a few less field mice out here.

On the recluse, I've noticed the males (thicker and a little darker) tend to be a lot more aggressive and like to run around. While the females hang out in corners and tend to stay put. If you guys have kitchen moths, you probably have some fiddlers hanging about.

Its this line of thinking that pisses me off to no end.

Because you dont understand it the best thing to do is destroy it. That makes total sense.
