How many pullup bars does it need to have?

do you have you a panel van to attract and pick up the kids? focus on that first

if you're going that route, I'd strongly suggest an indoor playset

in a heavily wooded area

to keep the kids safe from strangers

Rainbow (at Statuary World) is high quality, but crazy expensive. Sam's, etc. have lower end, cheaper models if that will suffice.

I got mine custom made from http://www.kidscreations.com/ out of Kansas. All redwood and strong as all heck, but half the price of a Rainbow system. They can also accommodate a sloped yard and add-ons later.

I would suggest paying to have someone set it up. Had a couple of nervous breakdowns setting one up.

^This. My father-in-law and I tested the limits of Newtonian physics, basic geometry, and extreme jury-rigging before consulting the manual and doing it the right way.

I attempted to use the manual, but there were several important things wrong or missing. Got the whole damn thing together and had to take it back apart because the top beam was upside down. I was pissed and looked back through the directions, and sure enough, it was wrong. That was the second breakdown. (or 3rd)

As I recall, a former member had pretty massive issues with one of those cheapper ones from sams, etc. Completely came apart during a storm and had issues repairing it.

Of course, that could just be an acid flashback.

We had a Sams one and it got 10 plus years before it started to rot. It had all the bells and whistles too.

We bought a Rainbow at Statuary World. Do not take their price, we talked them down 30% and this was in the spring, this thing is badass strong.

Shipping was about $300 a few years ago. I installed myself in about 8 hours, would have been half as much with a helper, or if I didn't get the wood roof and have to screw each roof board myself. Everything was predrilled, labeled, etc. However, if you are going to stain it, do so before installation if possible.

I had a sloped yard and talked to the owner, Jeff (?), multiple times to adjust the set. It was rock solid. I had some minor checking after a couple of year on a couple of pieces on the swing part (likely due to the slope) and Jeff shipped me replacements for free.

My kids are now beyond the playset and wanting a pool....wish they were the same price.

Also, if you search Craigslist, you can find used Rainbows for around $1,000 that just need relocation and staining.
