Mid-August, new owners are those that run the Edmond clone, promising to return the original menu.

I intend to have a welcoming attitude...

Will they be able to prepare and serve a pasta dish in under one hour? If so they'll have a leg up on the old one...

I see where they are avoiding the legal issues by not buying the property. Good luck to them.

That makes me feel better. A world without Othello's would just be too weird.

There Edmond restaurant is meh at best. Best part of the restaurant is looking at Nancy's ***.

What are the legal issues with the property?

Apparently there is a lien against the property dating back to the owners before last. According to news reports, the last owners joined as co-plaintiffs just to protect their investment. However, the growing legal fees affected their ability to keep the restaurant going so they closed it. Not sure whom the new managers are paying rent to but Transcript article said they weren't trying to buy the property.

Best of Luck to the new people. I'll be sure to stop in when I get a chance.

Every time I head to Othello's, I wind up eating lasagna rolls at Victoria's instead. No complaints.

stern, but exceedingly fair.

if you want good eye-talina food, go to Victorias!

I've only ate at Victorias once and it wasn't good. Primo's in the city is where it's at.

I don't know what I had but it was some sort of 3 meal sampler. The place was hot and stuffy and both my wife and I thought our food was meh at best. It's like a hippies Italian joint.

Victoria's is not really an "Italian" restaurant. Victoria's is a pasta shop. My wife loves it, I am somewhat ambivalent about it.

And yes, it is always hot in there. One time our waiter was sweating like Patrick Ewing when he brought our order to the table. Appetizing.

I only went to Othello's to drink beer on the patio.

It was a fine time.

If you go to Victoria's, definitely get the lasagna rolls and/or black pepper linguine, that is really their specialty. Otherwise, it would be like going to Kendall's in Noble and not getting the chicken fried steak.
