Played this course back in the early to mid 90's. Just went and hit 18 on it today. Old club house burnt down, so they have a new one that's tiny. Alway's thought it was a good track, greens are in great condition and the fairway's ain't to bad. 7 day's a week, from 12pm on, it's 20 buck for a cart and green fee's...it's like a sore dick...ya can't beat it.

."it's like a sore dick...ya can't beat it."

you can, just have to get a different grip.
we used to play there in the mid 90's when I was in college. one time I was teeing off on a hole with a bunch of houses off to the left and broke a window in a guys house, sounded like an explosion. it was some really expensive window and thankfully my parents insurance company covered it. I also hit a worm burner on the first hole one time and killed a bird in the fairway on that course.

Broadmoore is a great track... I played it for the first time last summer and I was amazed at how much I liked it. Added it to the rotation since...

Strange fact about Brookside... it's a POS course, but just happens to be designed by Perry Maxwell.... lol. I guess even Picasso has some crap sketches lying around too.

Overall, Broadmoore kicks the crap out of the ridiculousness that is Westwood. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried Broadmoore earlier this year.

I though Duffy designed it? I've always thought Brookside was a great learner course.

Played Broadmoore a ton in the 90's during college. IIRC, water comes into play on around 15 holes or so. That is rivaled only by Firelake in Shawnee, I think.

How busy is Broadmoore? My 8 year old is starting out in golf this summer and I am trying to determine the best courses/days/times for us to go hack it up together. I figure twilight fees at Westwood is a good start.

At noon during the week, when it's 104, the parking lot is packed...

Not to hijack the thread, but perhaps you golfers can help. My two teenaged sons are starting to play golf (I don't) and looking for deals on green fees. Any bargains at metro area courses that I can tell them about? Thanks!

Broadmoore is awesome. Cheapest course in the metro area to play, and it's in perfectly reasonable shape. Fun place to put up some low numbers.
