“there is one thing that everyone engaged in the debate agrees on: children born to foreign diplomats are not “subject to the jurisdiction” of the United States and are not to be granted U.S. citizenship.”

This was going through my mind as I read the article. My simple solution, a stamp/notation on the official hospital report & vital records entry that the child is under foreign diplomatic status and not eligible for citizenship or SSN. Then any subsequent requests for birth certificates would also be noted and no SSN could be issued.

Also, I wonder if they officially revoked the SSN/citizenship of the admitted few that did slip through the cracks.
