WTF is Jordan Jefferson there for?

Supposedly, he has improved dramatically as a passer this year. Mortenson said he was one of the top 3 QBs he saw put there. I won't believe it till I see it though. He was awful last season as a QB until he played Texas A&M.

What type of defense do they face in this camp? I am guessing Jefferson does fine until there are 11 players trying to stop him.

All the weight he has put on is muscle. Just sayin'.

“Andrew (Luck) from Stanford is just terrific. He is smart, poised, very accurate, moves around the pocket well, mechanically as sound as you could ask for and he has a winning edge to him. Landry Jones from Oklahoma is also real impressive. He throws the ball real well. He is extremely accurate. You can tell he is very confident as a passer and his mechanics are outstanding. Both those young men have the ‘It’ factor as a quarterback.”

Gruden, who works as an ESPN television analyst, was also impressed with LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson.....

When was the last time John Gruden wasn't impressed with someone?

Yeah, I'd say it doesn't take much to impress the man.

Manning's are good people, the really liked Sam

Peyton came to see Sam and Colt play in 2009 at the RRS

http://www.houmatoday.com/article/20110709/OPINION01/110709519/-1/living?Title=Camp-attracts-top-QBsI was inpressed with that evaluation UNTIL I read the part about Jordan. He would have to have improved 150% IMHO to be mentioned in the same sentence as Landry. I did NOT see any evidence of that last season.

He was sloppy against Texas but the RRR is a tough venue, lots of hype and pressure.

Much better performance in the Big 12 CCG. Would rather see a few less pick 6's though.

Gruden was at our local park yesterday watching me throw to my son and, according to bystanders, was quite unimpressed with me - not just my mechanics, but my vision and work ethic.

Anyone remember Gruden loving on Cam Newton pre-draft? Newton didn't know what he was talking about. Gruden loved him though.

Yeah it's a little different when you have a 6'8 300 lb black dude named sally running at you *shivers*

I am calling bull****. Gruden would never say anything like that. He would say something like, "Rainersooner doesn't have great mechanics, vision, or work ethic..but he is a winner. And you know what I would rather go to battle with a winner than a guy with great mechanics, vision, or work ethic."

Andrew luck (at same academy) looks like the Caveman from the GEICO commercials.

Was that a freudian slip about how he is excited about his draft stock and then played it off.

Landry's problem has always been management of momentum. I've never seen a guy shred a defense on one drive to go up 14, have the defense get a three and out, and then turn it over before. Landry did that a LOT when he was younger, but he got tons better later in the year.

Landry came in right after SAM. Actually had to replace SAM when he was only a frosh.

Played really well for a FROSH. The third best in history, but was still compared with Sam. That is tough. Going to be one of the top 3 all time at OU and may be considered the best if he wins the NC this year.
