I told my wife a year ago while driving through the desert that something wasn't right with her trailblazer because it was running hotter than it should regardless of it being 117 degrees at the time. She had just had it flushed, new thermostat put in and something else with the cooling systyem done six months before we went.

Fast forward to this year and in one week we are leaving to drive back to California and Vegas and again I was worried about the thing so I told her to take it to the local dealer and have them look at it. That was months ago and she had yet to do it so last night I took matters in my own hands.

Turns out I could stop the darn fan with my hand so the fan clutch was out. I ended up spending 2 hours changing a darn fan clutch because it's impossible to remove the fan shroud and get to it easily, I busted my knuckles like a somb!tch.

Got the new fan clutch on and then the darn thing wouldn't idle. It would drive okay but put it in park and it would die. Who woulda thunk it was the throttle body was needin' cleaned.. Certainly not me.... I was anticipating taking it in and having it put on the diagnostic machine and the guy on the phone just happened to mention to clean the throttle body. I did and bam the sucker runs like new.
