i'm pretty casual - rarely use capital letters, and dont always use the apostrophe on the contractions

but their, there and they're, lose, loss and loose, your, you're - those i wont screw up

Let me give a piece of advise....

OhU1

anxious vs. eager
mad vs. angry

Those are two other very misused sets of words. Anxious means there's an element of anxiety. People typically mean they are eager not that they are feeling anxiety.

"That makes me mad." I doubt the person really meant that they went crazy. They really mean they are angry.

When did the word an get replaced by and? For example, We are posting on and internet message board.

Suddenly I see that everywhere, even supposedly professional presentations.

I often see a similar thing with then and than, which surprises me because I grew up as the village idiot in English.

I was in agreement with you, hence the words, "no doubt".

Sometimes it gets on my nerves as well, as you said in your OP.

Then I remember how much difficulty I had in HS/College English, so I usually don't pull the grammar police bit.
