Boston Pops- Very nice. Their fireworks seem more like art.

DC Capitol Fourth- Steve martin pickin a bluegrass banjo. Fireworks with the monument, memorials, and capitol in the background. Winnah.

John Adams marathon dvrd to boot. Happy Fourth!

Okay, I concede that. But, the Hong Kong Chinese New Year's fireworks display over the harbor is pretty friggin' awesomeness, as is their whole building light show every night. The Chinese have some really seriously wicked fireworks. Hillbillies would kill themselves or each other.

Okay, I concede that. But, the Hong Kong Chinese New Year's fireworks display over the harbor is pretty friggin' awesomeness, as is their whole building light show every night. The Chinese have some really seriously wicked fireworks. Hillbillies would kill themselves or each other.

In 2000 I was in DC for the 4th. My best friend worked at the Pentagon so I took my chick there to see the place and enjoy the holiday. We sat on the steps of the Lincoln memorial and watched the fireworks over the Washington monument and over the reflecting pool was pretty slick. Best display I've seen.

Thunder over Louisville during Derby week is the best I've seen. They use one of the bridges over the Ohio river and also have barges on the water for fireworks platforms. I think the DC one would be hard to top however

Agreed. It was stupid. Let's take it a step further. These nooses were typically thrown over a branch, on a tree. In some cases these trees were Oaks. The entire concept of Oak Tree is racist.
