Dunno' how it ever started, but we almost always do seafood on the 4th. Lobster, crab, crabcake, halibut, some kind of potato (haven't asked what they're doing with them), salad and cole slaw looks like this year. Someone brought a big bag of shrimp, so something shrimpy.

Game day is usually burgers, hot links, that sort of thing.

Hamburgers, brats, and beer. You know, your typical bodybuilding food. I like to try to keep slim during holidays.

Melt-in-your-mouth thinly sliced pork loin dredged in corn meal and skillet fried, served up with homemade tomatillo salsa and salad with grapefruit, jicama, fresh basil, cilantro and rice wine vinegar; homemade BLT dip; plus LOTS of good red wine (Chilean and Napa cabs).

Fireworks were banned so we celebrated with food and drink!

I had a frozen hot dog and a warm can of beer I found in the garage and before bed I warmed up a burrito I found at the bottom of the freezer. I didn't see it before I found the hot dog. I poured a few of those Taco bell packets on it to warm it up quicker.

The American Consulate puts on a nice 4th of July party for us Americans living here in Chiang Mai. Some years they import Dr. Peper and A&W Root Beer, Ball Park Dogs and stuff, nice really BUT to answer the question..... Now I did not make fun of you...I'm a vegan...so....ate lots of frest fruit and water. One thing about Thailand is if you like fruit it's like heaven... even have lots of fast food...banana's growing along the roads. Many times on my bicycle I will stop for fast food.....
