Does bassist Ron Carter start on the wrong beat: :11 of the video? Watch Miles Davis's PO'ed reaction. It looks like Davis is snapping a 2/4 beat and he thinks Carter started wrong. If it was not a concert, Miles probably would have thrown his horn at Carter - and then run, since Carter is about 6-5".

That was remarkable.

Recommendation:

Netflix is streaming a TV series hosted by Elvis Costello called Spectacle. The Herbie Hancock show is simply brilliant. As is the Lou Friggin Reed episode.

Elton John's tributes to his influences in the first installment is also quite fascinating and caused me to download several tunes from iTunes.

Yes. I don't necessarily understand it nor can I explain it, but I love it.
