Pretty sure I have an un-opened box around here somewhere

I just checked, I have two empty boxes.

The company that made this stuff was Woolf Associates Inc., a sports marketing firm that went belly up in 2003. They were the ones that created Flutie Flakes, eventually tapping the college market with cereals for schools like Nebraska, Arkansas, Auburn. Boomer Sooners must have been one of their final attempts to market sports-themed cereal before bankruptcy. No doubt, Wheaties beat em to the punch and had already saturated the market. Interesting to note is that they did include trademarked logos on their product, which don't come cheap, but it wasn't enough.

This was about the one thing I didn't pick up back then. I still have dozens of "magic is back" coke cans that are drying up, though unopened.

When I looked at my boxes this morning, I saw a website. When I typed it in, it didn't come up but there were some news articles about them that dated 1998, 2000, and 2003.

The opposite of Sooner Magic --- symbolism that it's all downhill from the championship ;)
