I predict a recount.

And these elected chiefs and chairmen should have term limits.

Chad's 'other' name is 'Corntassle'.

11 vote margin is sure to be challenged.

And there are lots of us ScotsIrishGermanCherokees running around. We're probably the largest tribe in Okiestan. Bigger even than Effing Hillbillies and White Trash, though there's considerable overlap.

EXACTERY! It seems like an eternity since Smith stepped into the office, and from what i've heard around here this dealio may play out in the courts for quite awhile.

FWIW, they also voted to keep the term limits for elected officials.

Which is how many terms? He's been in since '99 right? The guy running my tribe has been in waaaaaaaay too long.

If he's the new principle Chief, who is the unprincipled Chief?

Pic, it's now officially two terms maximum. Chad Smith was grandfathered into being able to run one more time because of the timing of the original constitutional amendment.

BudSooner, I am a CN employee so I am not about to put my opinion out there, or at least until things are official.:D

Just because you have ancestors on the rolls doesn't mean tuition money rolls in. Very far from the truth.

What I don't get is how short a memory people have about Baker, he was Joe Byrds running mate in 1999. Did they forget the bad memories that came when the court house was locked down under Byrd among other things including disbanding the marshall service???

I don't trust him, not one bit.
