peels easily yet. We can put a man on the moom, but we can't genetically engineer a zipper on an orange or something?

Agreed. If a moom-landing is possible, anything should be possible. We should shoot for the moom.

Exactly, just think of all things we could accomplish we weren't so frustrated by orange peels, further space travel, striking the proper keys on the keyboard, etc.

Would this zipper on this genetically enhanced orange be edible? I'm all for edible zippers.

I remember reading a story in Boy's Life where that was used a shibboleth in a Terminator post-Judgement Day type deal. I've googled but can't find it.

I love the pulp and can't resist scraping it off with my teeth. I eat oranges, lemons, and grapefruit the same way. Peel them with my fingers, scrape the pulp off and eat it, then eat the sections one or two at a time.

We do. They are called satsumas. The peel is loose and comes right off and they are tastier than oranges. I don't know why they seem to only be grown here in LA.

Are you talking about that bitter white crap that's invariably stuck all over the orange after you peel the rind off? Yuck. Is that what is in the juice when it has pulp? I always thought the pulp was just little bits of the meat of the orange.

I was using the term the guy in the 1st video used when he was peeling the orange. But yes, the I llike the bitter white crap. I too always called pulp the little bits of "meat" in the juice and like orange juice better that way.
