If you get pulled over in Louisiana and your blood alcohol level is lower than the cops who stopped you...you're free to go. Police Dash-cam video footage.

I miss the old days. If you were semi-coherent and had a twenty to spare you'd get free pass to go home . . .

I think it's pretty incredible that folks get so bent about everyone who is caught or dies in a Car Wreck because of a drunk Driver. I do agree that blind drunks are a very big problem but I just saw a quote by Whoopee Goldberg where she said folks should lose their car until they make amends for driving drunk. Since that might work in a large city with 24/7 mass transportation....what is a guy in Montana supposed to do? You might as well just take a guy in Montana's License, Car, Home and Job and put him in a Minor Security Prison unless he's capable of hiring a Chauffeur to drive hm around.

We have a serious Problem with drunk drivers in this Country but not very much of the money from fines goes to supporting mass transportation....instead it goes towards other things more important in City/County and State's financial Coffers.

The DUI Classes are very cheap and do little to stop people from driving without a license even after they have been caught more than once.

I heard the other day that an very successful Insurance Agent who got busted for DUI in this State actually spent $50,000.00 in getting his DUI off the books so he didn't lose his Insurance License. Where does money like that go? It's pretty safe to say it doesn't go to a Victims of Drunk Driver Fund.

We also have more of a problem with angry people than we do Drunks IMO. The Angry Drunks are the ones that end up in prison and are the ones that more than likely are a much higher risk of killing someone while behind the wheel of a car.

I'd do it just to prove it won't become the perfect answer to a bunch of whiners that are usually so baked they can't make a decision of whether to choose paper or plastic at the Grocery Store.

to answer the question, if i can "jump in my ride", i'm not gonna walk home.

don't do it anymore, but i can remember having to close one eye to keep from seeing double lines. i've had to pass sobriety tests twice, & i did pass.
last time tho, was in 67.
