Is it really whiskey? I thought it was just a liqueur.

I think it sucks.

In a great (meaning terrible) way.

I think my dad combines Jack, honey, and lemon when he gets a cold.

Jack Daniels products in general f*cking blow. There, I said it.

I've turned into a spoiled whiskey snob since living in Central Kentucky, where most bourbons are distilled. I drink mostly super premium bourbons such as Four Roses special editions, Old Pappy Van Winkle, Wild Turkey special edition. I'm not a fan of anything associated with Jack. If it is on the hood of a NASCAR push rod contraption, Jack must extra suck.

Not a huge fan of bourbon to begin with, but Jack Daniels is the natty lite of bourbon.

So going with that, I'd say this new product is the Zima of bourbon.

i sure wouldn't drink any jack daniels, unless i was riding in a vehicle with a "push rod" engine.

i mean, i'm way above all of that "trailer trash" !!!

i'd almost rather walk than ride in a car (or pick-up) with "push rods".

It's funny. Some of my heroes, Drive-by Truckers and Lemmy from Motorhead, drink truck loads of the stuff, but I just can't do it.

I like Maker's Mark

I did have some GENTLEMAN JACK once and it was pretty good, but it is way too expensive for me.

Every store I've ever been in Makers and GJ were within a couple of bucks either way of each other, mid to upper $20's.

I assumed JD Honey was intended to be redneck Drambuie?

Jack is fine as a mixer and the label gets you in a rock and roll mood, but I usually opt for Woodford Reserve, or Elijah Craig or Old Charter 10 year, depending on how much I want to spend.

When they lowered Jack down to 80 proof, something about it just died...maybe b/c every country song quoting "90 proof" no longer applied.
