I was just thinking the same thing. We've actually had rain this month but well, it wasn't near enough.

Lawn is basically dead, as are most of the ones around.

Hopes Wither Amid Oklahoma Drought

Oklahoma farmers could face a dry growing season this spring as the drought affecting Texas begins to spread north, the Oklahoman reported on Thursday. The state has only averaged 1.24 inches of rain, making it the 11th-driest year for the state. Spring thunderstorms in Oklahoma typically come from the Gulf of Mexico via Texas and if Texas remains dry the Gulf air will lose its moisture before it reaches Oklahoma, said Brian Fuchs, a climatologist with the National Drought Mitigation Center. Tillman County farmer Harvey Schroeder expects his cotton crop to have a rough year because of the drought conditions. He sees a short harvest ahead of him and there is really nothing he can do about it. "It solely depends on what the good Lord gives us," Schroeder said. "We have been down this road before. We know what's coming."

I can hear Thunder rumbling to the South of Tulsa right now....
