Good internet porn does take a while to download. You just get it downloading and then go gather your whack items in the meantime.

i don't know what videos you are watching, but i can't remember the last time i used Quicktime. it always seemed to want too much control over my computer or something

download realplayer. it lets you download streaming video as a flash video file, then you can use a free flv converter (i use koyote) to convert it into an .avi or.wmv file.
I just click them and watch, so not sure if I am streaming or downloading.

you might try it, but that sounds odd. how old is this MacBook? how much ram do you have? is your drive full or something?
that's plenty fast to stream anything from youtube, i'd think
I tried Chrome and it said my Mac would not support it?!?
I have had it for 3-4 years I think.

2GHz isn't the fastest, but it should stream video
do you have a really old operating system? that's the only reason i can think of that Chrome wouldn't work. Firefox should be fine though
